About the event
We will meet on the paint deck from 10 am 12 pm getting the brightest light of the day.
Class Format: Participants will create their own unique piece of art on a canvas, using brushes and acrylic paints. Supplies included. My intention is to help you unblock any fears around art making, help you feel free to use art for self-expression and have fun. Topics will be discussed as they arise such as color, composition, pattern and abstract vs. representational. Paint you dreams and premonitions!
Part 1: Background: Students will explore an intuitive approach to acrylic painting while investigating different elements of brushwork, and surface quality within a painting. The way that paint is applied and expressed is an integral part of one’s visual language, inherently impacting how a work of art is seen, felt, and interpreted.
